A medical journal reported a new form of PMS: “Parked Motorcycle Syndrome”. It occurs when you have not ridden your motorcycle due to motorcycle repairs or personal injury and are going through withdrawal. The most common symptoms are irritability, and mood swings with alternating sadness and anger.

The 1986 BMW M5 is my number one dream car period! This model is the first M5 built for sale in North America.  This specific car was raced and top speed recorded at 187 mph.  It is a super fast, great handling car that looks like your neighbor’s stock 4 door.  Love it!

It is listed on the BMW M Registry.  Click here to view images.

“The snowstorm that battered the area looks to be the 3rd biggest on record in Chicago. As of noon 20.2 inches of snow was recorded at O’Hare International Airport, putting the storm ahead of the infamous storm of January 1979 that left 18.8 inches and was widely considered a factor in the mayoral race. The storm has already set another record: Feb. 1 was the snowiest February day recorded in Chicago. Following are the five top winter storms to hit Chicago:
1. 23.0 inches on Jan. 26-27, 1967
2. 21.6 inches on Jan .1-3, 1999
3. 20.2 inches on Feb. 1-2, 2011
4. 19.2 inches on March 25-26, 1930
5. 18.8 inches on Jan. 13-14, 1979″

The featured article in the most recent North Park University magazine described the school’s 103 year connection the Chicago’s “EL” train. I love the before and after images.

During last week’s flight home I sat next to a young consultant.  As  we approached O’Hare we talked about cell phones. During our conversation I learned that he graduated from Purdue University. Small world connection 1: my daughter Ellie’s boyfriend is at Purdue. When I mentioned that Jensen attends North Park University I was surprised to learn that my fellow traveler’s girlfriend works at North Park. Small world connection 2. I wonder who I will meet this week.
